It's very few ringed this far north.

First ringing this year

Finally! I manged to get to the bird station for a few days. The weather allowed me to ring only for two out of six days. I ringed just 64 birds and controlled 20. But that is ok becouse it's early days in the migration. And it have been cold to.
So I stod on the shore to watch the migration of common eider. It was an impressiv show of the common eider. More the 18 000 of them past by to the north on sunday. And just after I left the island my friends that stayed for un other night spotted an king eider and an little auk. Both of them not supposed to be in the baltic sea. That's birding.

Not one bird was ringed during my stay. Nine day that where spoiled because of winter. Teperature between - 15 to -25 degrees C. And on top of that I got a cold.
